The Fight for Human Race / Race - The Fight for Human (Part III)

Most of us have heard the song by Julian Lennon titled: "Saltwater". It depicts how we through the evolution of science & technology can make marvels that we thought seemed impossible just yesterday, but all the science and technology can't seem to help the poverty and hunger many face around the world, or how deforestation is killing nature, and thinning the ozone layer - in brief, we're killing Earth. This reminds me of what Agent Smith (Matrix) said: that we humans are like a plague, we scavenge for all the resources we can find, and move on to the next.
Although in recent years conservationists and many other eco-friendly organisations have tried to recuperate what losses we had, Science & Technology just doesnt seem to revolutionise this area of concern. Why? I believe its mainly because of the money. Its a neglect for future foresight for returns which are material pertinent to our lives expectancy. What is deemed as profitable now will generate income for me to live my life as is now. If it takes me to pollute the environment, which I know in a century will make the skies black, its not my problem coz i won't be around to see it, so it doesnt concern me. I think thats the mentality most people have around the world. I have a friend who works as an architect. She was posted to China, where business was unscrupulous. They will take every opportunity to cut down on materials used so as to cut costs - and that includes using less cement / sand to water mix. This ultimately will leave the building structurally unsound and may lead to cracks, leaks, peels, and collapse. My friend quit her job there.
I feel every living person should think for a moment what they do now, will have an impact on the future generation of ours, that we may think we are parting off with a legacy we build up for our children, when all we do are decaying what we think we built. Money or power means nohing, if we can't even take care of out most basic need: survival, which many people degrade it to a dog-eat-dog world of money equates to survival.
