Depression - Shit Happens

Depression comes naturally to everyone of us. Who can safely say that you’ve never experience it before can lick my…erm… toilet bowl. So my experience with depression was a rather major one that happened like 7-8 years ago. I think it was that bad that I actually have a vague collection of memories that happened within that period. And I paid a pretty hefty price too, things just didn’t work out for me and I eventually lost my friends, I lost touch with my family, I lost touch with the world. As cheesy as this may sound, I turned to alcohol for a remedy to getting by each sorrowful day. It worked, but not without messy results. It was just the most tumultuous days of my life!
I can’t remember how I actually got through it, but eventually I did and looking back at those devastating days which can be illustrated as a head-first dive from a cliff to the rocks at the bottom, or sliding down the sharp edge of a 50ft razor blade with my balls in between acting as brakes, whichever feels more painful, I was really glad the ordeal was over and that I realize I can still lead a normal life like I did before. I have to give most of the credit to God for gently steering me out of trouble, and till today I rely a lot on God to keep me in sync with His teachings as we face life’s difficult paths ahead of us.
Depression has no cure, and it may be described as contagious, that’s why your friends disappear when they hear you’re going through a bout of depression. There’s no vaccine for it, and you may still catch it after you’ve survived numerous ordeals, but we build up our immunity to it by learning how it works, what we can do to help ourselves or just try and make it worst by wallowing ourselves in self-pittance.
If anybody here requires ‘medical attention’ to this disease, you may contact me by emailing me, and I’ll do what I can to walk you through it, just as how God has done for me.
