Cheat in Exams - Lesson 2
Welcome to lesson 2 of our Cheating in Exams informative resource. Again I’ll like to state that the information within is solely for informative purposes only and should not be used and/or practiced in any kind of circumstances.
This chapter explores the fine art of concealment for your cheat sheet.
Paper Notes
The optimum size for any cheat sheet must be no bigger than the top segment of your thumb. And if you’ve got a thumb the size of the mouse attached to your computer, it doesn’t mean you can have it that size either. Also I believe notes written length-wise is better than breath-wise because you can than fold them if there’s a lot in it, and slowly unfold them when you need to look. Again just keep the fold size to an optimum preferably within a single fold.
1) Sleeve
This is not uncommon and is still practiced widely as can be seen in most poker gambling movies. The reason why people use this area of concealment is because of its ease of accessibility without compromising detection. However the only problem anyone might face is how to keep it there, which could very well be your downfall as a cheater. So if you choose this method, think hard about how to keep it there while you don’t need it, yet as easily removable when you do. Light adhesive double-sided may be considered.
2) Wrist watch
A variation of the above method is to conceal it on the straps of their wrist watch. It holds them well and offers extra concealment if you’re wearing long sleeves. The advantages in this method are that it holds the note well, easily removable when needed and the level of detection is low. Again just make sure it stays there when not needed and keep a close eye on how your watch moves about as you write or flip through the exam papers.
3) Pen / Pencil
This method will depend highly on what type of pen/pencil you have that can do the job. Several ways of keeping your cheat sheet would be:
a) rolling it to fit into the pen or mechanical pencil where the ink or pencil lead is contained
b) fitting it into the end of the pencil where the lousy eraser is
c) or if you have one of those nifty free commercial pens where with every click you will see their quote/motto through a clear display, you may resort to place you formulas in those areas without compromising detection. So with every click you can easily locate the stuff you need. Just don’t be a nuisance with the clicking.
Other stationeries like rulers erasers can also do the trick. Pen/pencil casings will allow you to store more or bigger cheat sheets if needed, but as far as I know, you cannot place your casing on the table so unless you do a sleight of hand by taking the sheet out along with your essentials, you may have to skip this one.
4) Packet of tissue paper
In season when everyone’s having the sniffles. However invigilators will also be extra vigilant in times like these so be wary. Places of concealment includes under the 1st piece of tissue paper, or on the back of the packet, just use your judgement.
5) Shoe
Yes, this seems to be the safest place to hide your notes if you are paranoid. Just make sure you stuff it suitably on the side of your shoe (inward side) so you can pretend to cross your leg under the table nonchalantly and sneak your finger in to get it out when the invigilators’ not looking.
6) Wallet
This method can only be applied if you have to reach into your wallet for some form of ID right before the exam. As such, you can then pull the cheat sheet out along with your ID without looking suspicious. Where you hide your cheat sheet next depends highly on you cheating instinct.
There are a lot more places you can hide your cheat sheet, all you need is a little bit of pressure to cheat, and a good cheating instinct that will guide you to do the rest. Then again your instinct could be wrong. As such, I will also list out some of the places that I personally feel one should never hide their cheat sheets in.
NOT RECOMMENDED
Pockets – Hard to access without adjusting your sitting posture, draws too much attention
Calculators – invigilators check these and not many places you can hide your cheats
Condoms – yes this one is news, for obvious reason don’t even try
Any of your orifices – danger to self and its bloody disgusting
Alright, that’s all I can tell you for lesson 2. Remember its all about innovation, right creativity and a desire to cheat that will get you to the right places on where to hide the cheats. As the old adage goes, the most dangerous places are often the safest places. So think.
