River Fest 2005
Actually I have no idea what River Fest is all about. The highlight of the event basically is a half-hour worth of fireworks and some fighter plane flyby. It seems like a nice full-filled event for everyone to enjoy. The only thing I was looking forward to was the RAAF F1-11 strike jet flyby. Unfortunately on that day, we were late in securing a place to watch the show, hence when we did arrive, the jet just flew over our heads without so much as me preparing for a shot. Nonetheless I knew it would fly past again the signal the end of the fireworks. When it did, it flew way off where I though it should be and I was blocked by a bridge above me. Darn thing…darn pilot. So the only shots I got were these:
An eerie light from within the swamp, And the crowd dispersing later.
I was gonna get a pix of a woman peeing on the street, but apparently I was too quick to take my phone camera off the target (for fear of me getting beaten up for doing such a despicable act), so too bad for that.
Perhaps I’m asking for too much, but perhaps I’m right: I think the whole 'shazam' is a waste of taxpayers’ money. That half-hour of fireworks would be better spent on mending roads and expanding accessibility or anything else that may be beneficial to the people.
Heres the link to this event. However i suspect this link will only stay within this month and may not be accessible thereafter.
