Home Made Beer - Potent Brew

My brother and I were just making our very first home-made beer on the 24th August. It was actually his idea to brew his own beer. So we went to a supermarket and bought one of these Home-Made beer brewing kit. It comes in a huge box with everything necessary to make beer…except the bottles for bottling. Those come separate and you’ll either need to buy them or recycle the ones you used.
So he got this kit from Brigalow. Comes with a 25ltr plastic keg with all the essentials like the malt, yeast and stuff. We try as much to follow the instructions as closely as possible, so at least we end up with something that’s drinkable and not taste like cat piss.
Today, we’ve reached the ¾ fermentation stage where the hydrometer reached a 1010 reading. So its gonna take another 4 days for bottling, which I hope by then, it should look decent enough to be called beer. For now… it’s a mix between being called heavily saturated urine and a drunkard’s piss.
